Comments (21)I think you’re going to need a bit of contrast or the room will fall completely flat. Dove is a white but a crisp white will still give you a cleaner feeling in there. Since you want a monochromatic room you’re going to have to use as much contrast however slight you can and a ton of texture. Comments (4)In Italy that’s a very popular way of creating storage and closets in old bedrooms that have no closets whatsover. I presently sleep under an arrangement very much like this and it gives me no problems. I don’t feel claustrophobic, but I generally never do. Maybe someone with those sensitivies would mind, but for me having lights and in my case, a recessed shelf where I can put my eyeglasses, books, phone, etc, is really quite convenient. The only difficult thing is the center cabinets, because the only way I can access things inside them without standing on the bed is to use the center cabinets for hanging blouses and shirts on a horizontal pole and using an extendable grabber to bring them down and put them back.
