Nicely done! The if you ever do change your mind about painting the cabinet, white would look amazing as a two tone kitchen here too!

The cabinet was white as shown in the before photo. It didn't have that wow look that it now has. This was the least expensive fix for a more interesting kitchen.

We did a similar thing but the opposite. Changed the doors left the boxes. A different, older actually, interpretation of what they are doing now as "two tone".

Wow this actually turned out to look very very good. No risk, no reward. I wouldn't paint the doors. Wood is waaaaaay more elegant than paint. I just finished a massive apartment renovation. My tenants lived there for 25 years. Entire place was thrashed. I've always hated painted cabinets. After wasting 2 weeks trying to refinish them I had no choice but to paint them. People think its been factory painted lol. Now that I'm done, yes painted cabinets looks fresh and clean. But it there is this overwhelming feeling of cheapness that cannot be overcome. Wood cabinets is class! Cabinets are like furniture built into the house. Would you paint your furniture? Some people do but you'll never see high end furniture painted. You can see thousands of people giving away painted furniture on craigslist.

Thanks for the thumbs up. our house is on the market and the kitchen is getting great reviews. Our home is a 4200 sq. ft custom home with show stopping mountain views on 5 acres 40 min. From South Lake Tahoe amongst el dorado ca. Wineries. This was the least we could do in upgrading an already nice kitchen and keeping the nice cabinets we already had. The paint idea came from looking at photos of old European cottage kitchen styles and my painter was all for the idea. I was lucky as husband was not for it at first until he saw it completed. It's fun working with what you have. Be bold
