Comments (17)Thanks, Marilyn, for the identification. Here is the plate and tea cup. I have a set of 4. And in just looking at them, I see that two cups are exactly like the desert glass and two seem to almost be a knockoff with the spheres handle not nearly as pronounced, though all 4 plates are the same. Comments (12)Taking the Beach Cities exit from State Hwy 60 to S.H. 91 on March 6, to get back to Westchester: There are many different routes we can take between Palm Springs and our house in L.A. and so we try to take the ones with the least traffic on any particular day. I believe Big Bear mountain is in the background. Yesterday I took this route to return to Cathedral City, and there was still a small amount of snow on the tops of the mountains, but it was 91° when I got to Cathedral City, and so if feels like summer has returned. Time to start going back in the pool, which I did not do last winter, as it is too expensive to heat the pool when the weather is 72°....See More

5 years agolast modified: 5 years agoI think that photo is a bit deceptive. Notice that I did not climb up on the rock behind me - that would have been too much for me. Since I had something behind me, I felt better.
We went on a much scarier hike in Sequoia National Park, attempting to go to the top of Moro Rock, but we stopped before we got to the top, even though it had stairs and a hand rail. High steep drops are what get to me, and I never climb anything that I think is too steep.
I did go to the top of the Space Needle in Seattle, however. I also went to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain and the Christ Statue in Rio, and those destinations are so well protected that I did not feel as scared as I did on Moro Rock.

5 years agoWent out to lunch with friends today. They were having crabby Wednesday special. 2huge lbs of snow crab clusters with corn and potatoes. Omg! I brought a bunch home for hubby.
