Sorry I don't have any pictures. Our builder is recommending Homecrest for our new home. We did get a catalog from the cabinet shop he uses, but it's not nearly as detailed as say Kraftmaid. My friend's Homecrest cabinets are about 4 years old and she loves them. We're using Bayport Hickory in the kitchen and Arbor Oak everywhere else. We were pleasantly surprised by the price.

The Fieldstone Rep came to look at the spots on the bathroom cabinet. He agreed that they did not look like any thing that the homeowner would have done but he had never seen that on any of their cabinets before. I informed him that I had followed the manufacturers cleaning instructions and the spots had not come off. The rep then took a container of acetone from his bag, put a little of it on a cloth and wiped down all the spotted areas. Like magic they disappeared. The cabinets have a tinted catalyzed conversion varnish on them and the finish was not harmed by the acetone. I felt bad that the rep had a 90 minute ride to get to the house for such a simple fix but I certainly would never have used acetone on my own. He was very pleasant about the service call and was happy it wasn't something more serious. So all is well :)

No, the drawers are not peeling inside. We have HomeCrest throughout the whole house. We also have them in the basement bathroom and have a kitchenette down there. A few months after installation, some of the kitchen drawers needed adjustments. It was done very quickly. My husband just pointed out that one of the 36" drawers is off a little bit, but I had not noticed it myself. The drawer holds pots and pans; so the weight probably caused a little bit of settling. We did not buy the cabinets directly from the factory. We used a small local cabinet company as the go between; so I cannot say how working with the factory is. I don't know if you can even buy factory direct or not. One mistake I made was having a corner sink because that was how the builder designed the kitchen. That row of cabinets is L shaped and there is a lot of wasted space in that 90 degree angle. In order to use it, I would have to literally crawl under the sink to reach things back there. All in all, we are happy with all of the cabinets. I do wish I had more. Seems there is never enough space in cabinets or closets after you're in a house for a few years. My new construction is custom, but the builder uses the upgraded Homecrest with full wood and "deluxe" drawers as their standard. I could get whatever but I thought I'd avoid the awful ordeal of cabinet shopping and just go with those. I'd rather spend a lot of money on a fabulous quartz (love the marble look-alikes) or one of the amazing exotic granites than on cabinets. My thinking is that cabinets are just a backdrop for stunning countertops. Is this a mistake?
