So I removed 2 shoots, and tested the slipping on both and they were fine, I also practiced my t-bud grafts. Please also tell me if the practice grafts I show have a strong chance of taking????.. assuming I was going to wrap afterwards. These were two buds I removed. I saw a grafting video once and the guy said to take the white inner layer out making it the bud somewhat like a shield. The one on the right is with the white wood, the left is after it was removed. IS IT BETTER TO REMOVE THE WHITE PART????? or to leave it alone like the one on the right. Another view. This is with the small shield-like bud, above. Kinda messy but ill be more careful with the actual graft. This is with the bud with nothing removed, above. 1)MAY I USE TEFLON PLUMBERS TAPE O.K to WRAP THE BUD WITH? 2)WHICH BUD IS BETTER TO GRAFT WITH?? 3)AND BASED ON THE SHOOT I PRACTICED WITH( the pictures above,) AM I SAFE TO PROCEED WITH THE GRAFTING?? The simple answer is yes; but the IML is probably not your best candidate for that; because, as a tree it is relatively weak compared to the rootstock (Cuban Shaddock, if it is Four Winds), and to other citrus varieties. The net effect of what you are proposing will be a Cuban Shaddock rootstock, a Meyer lemon "internode" and the final variety. It could be an interesting experiment; but I have serious doubts about the success or the wisdom of doing it. If your rootstock, below the bud union, is sufficiently tall, you might try budding or grafting directly to the rootstock.

I am trying to determine if Super Sioux, Limmony, Tangerine and Druzba are acid/tart/citrus flavour tomato types. If anyone can help I'd appreciate an opinion. ***** Speaking just to the varieties you listed without making suggestions for other varieties: Super Sioux, I haven't grown Limmony I trialed for SSE when it first came from the former USSR and as with most varieties that are supposed to have some citrus taste that I've grown I don't find it does. Tangerine, I do find to be a bit on the tart side but not as tart as many others I've grown. Druzba, definitely not tart or acidic and as a general comment I think you really mean a variety that has a strong or aggresive taste since almost all tomatoes that have been tested have about the same pH.
