I think it wouldn't be impossible if you wanted the whole 5 foot tree, but it wouldn't be easy, either. You'd want to start digging a good distance from the tree, and also down to get as much of the roots as possible. Put it on a tarp, carry it over to your house, and replant. Figs are very hardy and tolerant to some abuse, so it might be worth a shot if you like them and your neighbors are going to kill them anyway. (I'd make sure I had a rooted cutting before doing this, however.) For winter protection...it's very easy to put some stakes in the ground around the fig and then wrap some burlap around the stakes (If you wrap the burlap around the fig, you could cause it to rot...wet burlap clinging to the trunk isn't good.). It won't completely eliminate winter injury but as a quick and dirty method it works surprisingly well. For the apples, if you want to save them, I'd take some scion wood and graft them to a new rootstock (there are directions online for doing this, and although it is a bit of work, it's not much, and not very expensive. You might fail, but even if you do, you're only out a couple of bucks and the time you put into it.). If you don't want to do it yourself, there are places online that will do it for you if you send them scion wood. It's a bit more expensive, but not prohibitive. $40 maybe?

as long as your utilities are waterproof ... intact ... the trees are not going to impact them ... they are not a reason to move them ... cable peeps can run a cable anywhere ... i would let them deal with it all ...trust me.. they want your monthly money.. they will get cable to the house .... i see a wood deck.. not a slab patio ... so im a bit confused ... are you talking about the house being on a slab??? .. is the house slab intact.. in good shape.. i really dont see these as monster trees that are going to move your house ... in your lifetime anyway .... imo.. these are beyond the common homeowner moving them ... so in my world.. all you are left with is removal .. and if that were your choice .. i would just cut them flush to the ground and treat with a stump killer.. and let the roots rot in place ... if you are going to hang around the forums.. it always helps to tell us where you are ... big city name .. ken

this is not a homeowner thing ... if you were to move them.. you would need to hire a truck tree spade ... and that would probably be talking hundreds/thousands of dollars.. when you could regrow a babe to that size in a couple years from one foot tall ... it simply wouldnt be cost effective ... especially since they look like common pines ... not some valuable exotic type ... welcome to the forums... if you are going to hang around.. plz add your location to your name.. so it shows up in every post ... you might be surprised how often it matters ... if you dont like these.. just cut them flush to the ground.. and be done with them .... instead of fixing the prior owners mistakes.. go plant your own.. for the next owner.. lol ... if you want an ID on this pine.. get a closeup of the buds.. and count how many needles in a bundle ... length of needle wouldnt hurt either .... many here can ID/guess based on the above pix .. but again.. location would narrow down the options ... based on the dormancy of your lawn.. now is probably a good tree planting time.. but i am guessing ... its in the TIMING section of the link below .... ken https://sites.google.com/site/tnarboretum/Home/planting-a-tree-or-shrub
