Countertop people dropped the quartz top and broke off a piece

We had our counters installed and the sink cut out was wrong. Counter top people removed the island top which is 126" long and were carrying it outside when they dropped it on the tile porch. My husband was there when it happened. A small corner of the top broke off. They called their boss to tell him then told my husband they are going to fix it and put the piece back on. It is a pure white quartz. My husband did not get a picture. We have a contractor the only thing we did for the counter top was pick out which counter top we wanted from his samples.

Because this company did such a bad job on the sink I am worried the repair will show. Do I need to worry a crack might show up later? The sink cutout is in the island top that was dropped. We let the contractor know our concerns and that if the repair shows we do not want the top. We did not get a response about it. Is there anything I should look for when we get the top back? Thank you for your help.
