Not sure if we have the same thing, but I have tiger lily/tigridium lily that I planted bulblets in a pot last year. During the fall they grew a bit of foliage & I brought them inside for the winter to let them grow. In the spring I planted them outside. This year I left them & they are now dormant. I am sure what you have outside will be dormant and seems quite reasonable that the one in the pot is rooted, mine in the pot rooted rather quickly, but didn't show any foliage for a while, but I don't remember just how long. They are really very easy, so don't worry.

Cora, are you thinking of Crinum pedunculatum? That is a different plant - leaves grow pointed and upright. Overall it is a much "tougher"-looking plant. They are planted all over by the city at the beach. Link to images below. Peruvian daffodils are softer and more gentle-looking. They have leaves similar to an amaryllis or agapanthus. Hi, I just want to add to the information on Red Lily Beetle. I garden organically and would never think of drenching my soil with insecticide. There is always other solutions. I wouldn't catch red beetles in my fingers and smash them either. Last year I had good success with using a 5 gallon bucket with some water in the bottom of it, that I carried with me while I sought out the beetles. I checked my plants frequently and would flick the red beetles into the pail that I held under the foliage in case they dropped. I then would pour out the contents onto the driveway and step on them. Easy as pie and very effective, using no chemicals at all.
