Comments (10)I know the feeling of spending too much time replacing fuel line. 1. I agreed to replace a primer bulb on a friend's Old Craftsman Blower by WeedEater. 2. A bad primer bulb turns out to be "All" bad fuel lines and the wrong bulb when he arrived. 3. Very seldom is it just a bad bulb vs all but the task of replacing old line can be a nightmare. 4. "After R&R the needed", I saw where an exp tech saved feeding/pulling/trim/line. 5. There are lessons to learn w/o manuals, old experiences on many first time jobs. 6. The attached job needed tank accessed, long needle nose,"only" rem carb to work after R&R exp. 7. My promise before seeing the trick was to never touch a similar blower. LOL! 8. Most lines on newer equipment seems designed to easily replace from very open/simple/routs 9. A trick is using barbs to switch line sizes vs over/under sizing, test for restrictions/seals. IMO, dealers have a better grade line vs a cheaper, it will stretch/pull past breaking feeding. Good Luck With Challenges!!...See MoreGift ideas for first time homeowner - niece - 28 yrs old.
Comments (26)Softball, your suggestion gave me a laugh. Years ago a friend's daughter was getting married. They were young and starting from scratch. At the wedding shower I gave her a laundry basket with washing powder, bleach, dryer sheets, dish soap, dish clothes, tea towels, AND a "two-egg size" black cast iron frying pan. The pan even had a picture in it of bacon and two eggs. She not only loved it, but several of the guests said they wished they had thought of that. I wish I had thought of a plunger. the practical-minded Sue...See MoreNot ready for remodel, but my 30 yr old SZ is!
Comments (7)That's the insight I am looking for. I don't know enough to even say whether it is possible and the install instructions did not really answer that for me - probably my ignorance. Sounds like you are telling me it is possible, in which case it is on me to determine which is the most practical of 1) explore repair cost of old sub zero vs 2) install of new Miele columns months before reno vs 3) maybe buying a cheap refrigerator to roll into the empty cavity until I am ready for the reno. I can handle that....See MoreHelp with DIY plan for 50 yr old tiny kitchen
Comments (44)Love that hidden chest freezer. I will look into that. It might fit under the peninsula or I could build a wood frame around it by the window and put a piece of counter hinged on top. It would just look like a matching cabinet. Coat hooks will be good for the living room side, but on the kitchen side, I think I can squeeze in an upper. Becky, sorry I missed your comments above with the link to L. Liess's old kitchen. I remember when she did that. I think I had an avocado green one at the time and was tempted. Boy she's come a long way. I will look at IKEA's pantries. I was just at our local Habitat and they had a perfect one with beautiful pull out shelves, but it was super heavy and it seemed a bit early to commit. Ispo, I'm not sure what you mean by "a workstation sink of around 42" for a large portion of the budget. That way you can move the ". . . water, stone, fire" functions to one spot". I thought we had water, stone, fire (ice is a bit out of the loop, but we can live with that). Could you draw a diagram? We've looked at many, many options to try to get around replacing the wood panelling, but I think it is just time to bite the bullet and do it. The new cabs will definitely not be new. I'm pretty good at finding bargain cabs - just wish I had a truck to haul them in :)...See Moretryingtounderstand
