When is wide too wide
Comments (6)Ah... so you mean when is big too big? If you can get it through the door, it's not too big! Seriously, 12' should be fine for a 60" tv. A lot depends on what the room is used for, the quality of the tv & what you are watching. Are you using the room as a "media room/home theater" and don't mind a 60" tv dominating the room? If you are planning on getting a high quality tv and plan to watch mostly hi-def and dvds you should be happy with the image quality. If you are still going to watch a lot of SD tv, the large image will enhance the poor image quality and you might not be happy....See Moreerr on the side of too wide or too narrow for pulls?
Comments (9)My kitchen has a more contemporary vibe so I went with various sizes of pulls on all my cabinets and drawers. I love having wider pulls so easy to get any size hand around them. Just to help you visualize here are a couple pictures of my pulls. This first picture is a 6-1/2 inch pull on a 13 inch drawer: Here is a 10 inch pull on a 18 inch drawer: This post was edited by badgergal on Mon, Feb 4, 13 at 21:14...See MoreLove wide drawers. But when is wide too wide?
Comments (17)The side part of my office desk is 42" so I just took a look at it from afar, and I think it will look great (I'd vote for one shallow top drawer and 3 even-height drawers below). I would definitely do heavy duty glides, especially if you're going to store dishes. We had regular (75 lb) glides in our 36" drawer and one failed. They were replaced with heavy-duty glides and work fine now (although we still keep the large soup bowls in a separate drawer, out of an abundance of caution, plus they're used much less frequently than other dishes)....See MoreGraber CrystalPleat honeycomb blind issue
