Someone telling on the radio a few days ago of his experiences in an indigenous training experience said that when he learned the technique of how to make fire by rubbing sticks together, it made such an impression on him that he'll take it much more seriously whenever he starts a fire from now on. ole joyful P.S. That one participant, while nurturing that first tiny little ember in a small nest of shavings in his hand, and carefully, slightly blowing on it, held it too long before transferring it to a larger amount of combustibles, so that he burned his hand slightly. o j

Apropos of Katlans post - it was November Friday 13th, 1998 when I was out for a run in the pouring rain and I stepped on a pine cone and went over on my ankle. Hyperextended my rotator cuff. broke the bottom of the tibia, and tore 3 ligaments in my ankle which led to 6 months of rehab and no running for 9 months. I'm staying home today.

She has a whole house generator...according to info she's posted...but the storm did a lot of damage and she could have lost her internet service. My ISP was sporadic for hours and yet I didn't lose my home power.
