Email Notification - UPS- Scam
Comments (7)I do hope folks are being more careful on what email attachments they open up. Snow has stayed away and we were in the 60's for the last couple of days. The rain came back along with thunder and lightning and its back to the 30's today. :-(. Julia...See MoreJust noticed one window isn't centered with the others!
Comments (15)We emailed the construction supervisor (haven't talked to him yet) and talked to the sales counselor. She said that they would address it. We will get an update from the supervisor today on the house and will talk to him about this. I am just surprised nobody including us noticed it until now. It took the windows and siding up to actually make it noticeable. NOw that is all I see now! As for any other non apparent mistakes I hope there is none. They have been good at fixing other mistakes. They had framed our study doorway to a 29 wide entry when it should have been around 60. Big difference but it was taken care of. As for the extra insulation we didn't tell them in writing. They had the insulation inspection last week and the structural on Friday. The supervisor said they would be delivering the dry wall on Friday but when we drove by at 3pm Friday it wasn't there. We went on a little vacation and came back Monday night to find that they had worked on it this past weekend. My husband is disappointed because he was going to put the extra insulation in and work on a closet he was putting in himself. Now he will have to wait. I want the house to keep moving as we are on a tight schedule on moving out of our current house. We are renting from the new owners after we close tomorrow until Sept 30. I have my doubts that it will be done in time. I just want all the mistakes fixed. That is more important than moving in in time. Don't hold me to that last comment. I might be pulling my hair out then!...See MoreTransplanted two citrus plants. One isn't growing.
Comments (26)Ajay: provide a bit of shade to the plant. Since it is small a cardboard or plywood plank can be erected shading it from the Sun. This will reduce the stress and give you a better chance. Talking of allelopathy - I just discovered a strong case in my vege patch. I have been noticing that some of pepper plants are struggling. While the japanese sweet potato close to it it is doing extremely well. I googled and found that sweet potato has strong negative allelopathic properties. Cannot do much now but remove some of the runners on the ground under the peppers. A lesson for me - isolate the sweet potatoes next time or forget about it....See MoreEmail scam
Comments (24)Lately I've been getting emails (almost daily) from various widows with cancer who are trying to give their money to an orphanage and NEED MY HELP. Or the head of some government agency who is trying to get my inheritance to me, or who has arrested some criminal ring and needs to get my stolen funds back to me... All but one of these have come from gmail addresses. I never open the emails, but I do report them to gmail and my email provider. I click on "view message source" which safely shows me the IP it came from and the text of the message. I've been getting other spam, which all lands in my junk folder. Much of it looks like legit marketing, but I don't open it either - just click on "show message source", then copy/paste to report it to my email provider. That type lately has been coming from various @xxxx.us email addresses (all spoofed probably) but one thing in common - although they arrive via multiple internet service providers from all over the world , they all show a sent time of GMT+9 (which is Russia, Korea, Japan etc)...See More
