Maytag laundry lint screen does not go right back in again. Why is it?
Comments (9)I recently ran into this issue about 2 months ago. I thought it might have trapped lint but after cleaning that out it did not help. What I discovered was the plastic piece on the inside somehow warped and was preventing it from sliding in. After analyzing it more I loosened the two screws on the inside of the dryer holding the plastic pieces of the lint trap together. That allowed me to fully push the lint trap down. That is actually when I saw that the inside plastic piece had warped. I then screwed it back together. Put only a towel in and ran the dryer on high for about 40 minutes. Speculating this would restore the proper shape of the piece that was warped. So far this has worked. Recommend if you do run the dryer on the highest setting during normal operation you do not pull the lint trap out until it has somewhat cooled. Not sure how it warped in the first place but I think that it was run on high the lint trap was pulled out and the plastic piece warped. My wife normally does the laundary so not sure exactly what happened. I just fix things. :)...See MoreMenu, again. Favorite summery appetizer that does not involve cheese.
Comments (33)OMG i'd love that, I love love artichokes, and lemon. Thx! BTW, someone wanted this recipe for Grilled Romaine Salad. I make it exactly as is... yes it has a ton of herbs. It is lovely. Grilled Romaine Salad serves 6 3 heads romaine lettuce 1 bunch radishes, sliced crumbled blue cheese 1⁄4 cup crème fraiche or sour cream 1⁄4 cup buttermilk 2 tablespoons capers, chopped 1⁄2 cup chopped herbs (parsley, dill, tarragon, chives) 1⁄2 teaspoon minced garlic salt and pepper To make the dressing: whisk together all the ingredients and season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside. Heat the grill. Prepare the romaine by trimming and cutting into quarters. Drizzle with olive oil and salt and grill a few minutes; until slightly charred on all sides. Remove to a platter Immediately drizzle dressing over the lettuce. Top with crumbled blue cheese and radishes to serve....See MorePresenting our forever home by Architect Runner Guy!
Comments (34)Looks lovely . I love the cupola! The things that stood out to me were, The 12’4” wall in the master bedroom is too small. You have your bed on that wall and if it’s a king, which in a room that is 18’ plus long it should be, you won’t have room for decent sized bedside chests. I would not want to walk through the mud room to get to my pantry. When I’m cooking i enter and exit my pantry several times and when I’m unloading a haul from Costco or grocery i bring in my bags and set them on the counter to unpack and load the fridge and pantry from there. Both of these every day activities would be hindered by having to walk around the corner and through the mud room . It would be much more efficient To have the pantry door go into the kitchen IMO. I also would want a powder room. If i had guests staying in main floor bedroom , say at Christmas and then the whole family was gathering i wouldn’t want them to have to use a guest bedroom bathroom Where the guests may have their things out on the counter. Last the laundry looks small. If this is your forever home think about how much laundry will be done in there. That is small and doesn’t leave much room for hampers , ironing boards and folding. Another thought you might want to think about is doing a pocket door from master bath into laundry so you have easy access to take laundry directly in. This might be especially nice when you’re in your late in Life years ....See MoreMark Bittman does it again
Comments (7)I love the NYT but did they not get the memo that every recipe ever can be found for free online these days? NYT Cooking is a great collection and I find the reader comments particularly helpful. But they're far from the only game in town anymore. I don't understand their need for exclusivity esp. when it comes to recipes....See MoreRelated Professionals
