Modular Office Desks (Pottery Barn?)
Comments (1)I am also looking for something similar for my home office, and a friend recommended Ballard Designs. I haven't decided exactly what to get yet, but I'm leaning toward that instead of pottery barn's Bedford line for a couple of reasons. One, they have a much larger selection of pieces (and you can pick exactly which types of drawers you want for a desk set up, whereas pottery barn doesn't let you do that). Another reason is that theirs is solid wood and pottery barn is not. I don't remember for sure, but I think the prices are pretty similar, or maybe a bit cheaper at Ballard Designs. Check out their web site, they have a downloadable brochure with all the dimensions and it makes it a little easier to visualize. They have a 15% off online coupon from time to time and if you sign up for their emails, they let you know when....See MoreFloating a floor- would the thickness of the board matter?
Comments (3)P.S. I had water damage from a water heater so I am removing the old floor and replacing it with a new floor. I had my 4th estimate come in today and three stores require me to hire a professional moving company. One store will move the file cabinets and furniture if I empty all 14 file cabinets and rent a pod and will charge me $1,000 extra. You should see the moving company quotes that I have been getting that are twice this and I still need to rent a POD. This is getting to be so expensive. I will send the quotes to my insurance company tomorrow and see what they say. I have a 2 room home office downstairs and one room family room where I am installing the new floors after the old floors are removed. The last quote says the quote could be more if when they test the moisture level of my floors, that more work needs to be done drying them as the floor is damaged. My floors are concrete under the damaged floor right now but they were tested to be dry in 2009 when I had the former floor installed. The flood happened on 3-20-13 and I have since replaced my water heater, replaced all the valves, replaced all the water lines to the toilet, etc. I hope I am OK as I need this project done quickly when the insurance company says OK as I need to be able to get right back to work. Comments (80)I couldn't wait to get home & play!!! Thank you all so much! We moved in here & a lot wasn't/still isn't finished. I had to take a break for awhile to live in the space. Just for fun, I found another set of pictures to try also. Ok, so I couldn't let completely go of some of my stuff & put it in the "dead corner" The other side of the kitchen( my favorite place to sit, especially in winter). Still need sconces for FP, pendants over island & UC lighting........... AND command center/ wine bar AND rework pantry cabs to hold microwave & breville in my "scullery" area....See MoreTeen Bedroom Furniture Comparable to Pottery Barn Quality
Comments (10)You can order Ikea online and pick it up same day from the store. They collect it for you. (It's called "Click and Collect). Not a lot to handle, and good social distancing with this method. Each item has the box size listed online, so you can figure out whether you can fit it in the car. You can buy mattresses, pillows, beds, EVERYTHING. You can return it within a year if you don't like it. Also, if you're not too far away (so it isn't prohibitive), you can get stuff delivered. Get the kids to help you assemble it all!...See MoreBri Bosh
