Searching for Perfect Purse/Handsome Handbag/Terrific Tote
Comments (31)I think you need to consult a bag maker too. There are lots of them out there ...or find a tote bag that appeals to you and that is exactly what you are looking for on the outside and maybe partially inside...then have someone make all the extra pockets you need that will just slip down into the bag. Honestly, I cannot even imagine carrying the kind of purse you guys are talking about. When I go out. it's to shop or go out to eat , not for a weekend or overnight and truthfully, I can't fathom having to carry all that "stuff". I recently bought one of those as seen on tv phone wallets for $10 bucks and wear it on my belt.......It's the best thing since sliced bread and serves my purpose exactly. I'm hands free, I don't have to worry about aching shoulders or back..... I took all the straps off and just slip it onto a belt....I am just crazy about it......I can hook my keys to it or slip then into the cell phone pocket if I'm not carrying a phone...............See MoreHandbag afficionados: can you help with ID?
Comments (75)You are too funny. Here in our area I have not seen those under 18 carrying VB. It is hugely popular with the college crowd here though. I also have not seen those 65 and up carrying VB. I'll admit I haven't really looked, but it sure hasn't been something I've noticed. I know alot of the moms (which is probably the 25-40ish age group) like VB and have the diaper bags. Her cross body bags are popular here. And in our nearby touristy area, there is a VB outlet. I've also noticed alot of VB (discounted) at a local Steinmart. I bought a friend a VB bag for Christmas - and she is 57, although looks much younger but the VB bag looks good on her. I like some of the black with bright prints because I wear alot of black and brights, but I also wear a good many prints/patterns, so the bags often clash with my clothing. I like the VB laptop bags too....See MoreMore fashion: favorite handbag/purse designers?
Comments (91)thanks, thanks a lot :) I am now going to look on ebay. I have found my perfect purse, wallet and laptop/work bag (backpack). They are coach. I carried them for about 10 years in brown (mahogany). since I used them daily they were kind of beat up by then and I decided I wanted to start using black. I found the exact bags, all three, in black, gently used, on ebay. it took some searching but I love them still. I think I need a back up though and as time goes on I am sure it will be harder to find. I need to set up my searches on ebay again!...See MoreIs this handbag too big?
Comments (27)Long day --- long story I drove to another city to meet up with a friend from California who was available today only. Along the way, I stopped at the Saks Off5th Outlet and found.....a Longchamp, soft, lamb leather handbag in black! This is similar to the nylon Pilage bags, but the interior has an inside zip pocket, an open cell phone slip pocket and a place for pens. It also rolls up and snaps. It will pack well since I use a carry-on while on board the plane. The only downside that I see to this smaller purse is that it's so incredibly soft, there's no structure to the bottom. If that bothers me, I'll cut some cardboard and stick in there. That said, it holds everything I need for it to hold, it doesn't overwhelm, it's lighter weight and packable. It was discounted to $369. Not the incredible deal of the large bag, but discounted from $495. Here's a Nordstrom link with reviews. The online Saksoff5th has some of these bags discounted. My DIL's birthday was Wednesday and I was going to bring her something back from Paris or Italy -- but, I called my son and asked him about the large bag for her meetings, etc. (I noticed when she came home for a week in Boston, her back was overstuffed). He told me I was fulfilling her number one gift wish! So, I'm taking the large bag over to her this evening. I'm off to see my grandkids and gift the other bag to my DIL! Merci mes amis!...See Morebbstx
