How pretty. We're using a simular color palette in our room, and I've gone with a very soft grey blue for the walls. It's amazing how calm it makes you feel. I would suggest it to anyone. For your room, why not take the shade of blue from the bedding, have it matched at the paint store and then lighten it a couple of shades for the walls. You can then do the ceiling in either an even lighter shade of the blue or the cream. If you prefer warm colors you could apply the same idea to the brown or cream, lighten or darken to your preference, but the bedding already offers you the 3 colors for your palette, so either way I'd stay in that family and think it will look quite beautiful!

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to reply, but my password for some reason didn't work until now. For so long I've wanted to thank both emmarene and Lori for their advice and felt badly because I couldn't. Thank you. I haven't changed the wall color in my bedroom yet, as I wanted to give myself more time to get used to the existing antique white paint. I don't hate it, because it has its own beauty, but I'm not fond of how it makes the room feel lifeless and blah. With all of the shadows that come with northern exposure lighting, the walls also appear dingy and dirty. I'm ready to paint the room now and I'll look into your advice.

I’m not a fan of focal walls that are a different color, but if you want to do it, the wall the bed is on usually is the focal wall. Can you post of picture of that wall to see if it’s a suitable candidate? You have a lot going on with the other walls with different heights, ledges, vaults, etc. maybe not the best room for two colors. Normal photos, no panoramas, it’s hard to tell what we’re looking at with a distorted photo.

That is the only light fixture in the room and one of the reasons why we moved the dresser to that wall. We used to have our large armoire against that wall which covered the light fixture completely (making it very dark in the winter getting dressed in the mornings!). Yes, we have lamps but it doesn't make sense to us to cover up a light source.
