Overhead door fixed my spring also. But if you have some old fashioned heavy door you want to replace anyway, I would paint the new door the current color or match the ivory trim. Wood would make the garage standout unnecessarily. Definitely not blue. The safety sensor are worth it.

To enhance the MCM vibe I agree with replacing the garage doors, which look to not be in great shape anyway. A wood stained door would work. Right now your trim is white and your windows are black/brown (dark color). The creates a very stark contrast between them. I would probably paint the trim (which is easier than painting windows since they look like they're new), using a shade or two darker than the siding color. Unfortunately your front door is a basic six panel door that is definitely not a MCM type door. If budget allowed for a more MCM style door I would do that. You could do a brighter color on the door but until you get a style appropriate door I wouldn't go too bright. Right now it looks like a dark hole in the facade. Finish it all with some landscaping. I'm not usually a fan of white garage doors, but in your case I think it works well with your home. I wouldn't change anything on the house. I would add low colorful shrubs to the planting area behind the basketball hoop, and add some shrub variety to the arched brick front of the house, with some taller, layered, plants. You can also trim back the tree on the right. You don't want branches extending over your house. Then resurface your driveway.

I Googled BM Pale Oak and see it is a pretty warm color that wouldn't go well with satin nickel. I think non-shiny brasses and bronzes could work well, but again it depends on other aspects of the surroundings too. Search for photos on houzz and see what catches your eye.
