Comments (7)I am with you, Socks. I am trying to reduce the stash I have made up of my skeins and what I inherited from my sister and a friend because I ran out of storage space. So I have been knitting up a storm just to use up what colors I have. The Baby Surprise Jackets use up all sorts of color odds and ends. I have used up a few variegated colors I stashed for years unable to find a pattern that I liked for them, but they made nice BSJs. We have new babies being planned for the next year or so, and I have a head start on possible gifts this way. The trouble with BSJs is that I really don't know how well I like the color combinations till it is done....See MoreOn Keeping Baby's (to be) Gender a Secret
Comments (38)LOL, my parents didn't have twin beds, but I remember my grandparents having them! I didn't need the rhythm method - we knew we wanted at least four kids, and after the length of time it took for me to get pregnant and sustain a pregnancy the first time, we never used anything again. My closest spaced kids are 20 months apart, then the rest are almost exactly 2 years. Everyone thinks we planned it that way, but truthfully, we didn't use any preventative measures nor was I tracking my cycles. It just sort of happened that way. However, after my fourth, I knew *I* was done - dh was hoping for at least one more but four kids in less than 6 years was enough for me. The woman with 12 kids...when I was pregnant with #4, she was pregnant with #6. Her oldest was only a year older than mine, so she was having her 6th in 7 years. I couldn't wrap my mind around that as I was nearing the end of my pregnancy and beginning to wonder if I was nuts having four kids so close in age. So when she continued on to have six more kids after I was done, yikes! And honestly, she might have had a 13th - I've seriously lost track at this point. And if you could see her - you'd be amazed. She is gorgeous and always manages to look beautiful even after all those kids....See MoreGrand baby's Nursery
Comments (51)I guess I have posted too many picture this month so now they are being held hostage by photobucket. I don't have time now to fix the issue but I guess they will reappear at some point in time. Meanwhile I want to thank everyone for your congratulations and formyou compliments. As I held my grandaughter today, I was thinking of that day 29 years ago that I first held her mother. I truly have been blessed and I am so grateful. Sorry but I just can't resist posting one more picture...See MoreSoft blue gray for gender neutral nursery
Comments (2)You might do a little research on what is best for babies. High contrast helps their eyes and their eye coordination develop. I used to work with a girl who did her whole Nursery in black and white, but I think that might have been going to a bit of an extreme LOL. I know that in the past people used to use soft pastels, but it seems like something with more darks and brights or darks and lights might be better....See MoreBeth H. :
