All-Glass Cabinets (HGTV Top 10: Awesome Eat-In Kitchens)
Comments (6)I have read about someone who lives in my town who has installed regular cabinets with glass fronts in front of windows, primarily because she needed storage and did not want to compromise on natural light. This kitchen was covered in a local design magazine. She used the cabs for storing glassware so light passed through everything. Though not all glass, it can be a good compromise to achieve a similar look. Speaking of all-glass cabs, I imagine you will need to work with a glass company regarding this....See MoreDo you have glass cabinet knobs?
Comments (21)I think the best selection of glass knobs is at antiquehardware.com. They have 46 different ones in clear glass. They're not all antiquey-looking and many have no visible metal at all. Re size of knob. I found this a difficult decision, so I ordered a number of different knobs in different sizes and held them up to the cabinets. At the time I ordered, antiquehardware.com did not charge a restocking fee, so I was only out the cost of shipping (which was minor). Good luck and please show us what you end up buying....See MoreAre Top Knobs cabinet hardware made in the USA?
Comments (6)@lefeber1 some of Schoolhouse Electric's hardware is handcrafted in the U.S. You have to click on individual items for a description of the item. Raw materials might be souced globally and many items use recycled brass. Good luck with your project. https://www.schoolhouse.com...See MoreGlass knobs on modern-look media cabinetry
Comments (18)I'm open to other feedback as well. We didn't fill the wall with cabs because it might feel dark and oppressive. This is our only living room, and what you see on the wall fills the length of space save for a couple inches on each end. We plan to add some shelving above for all our books that are still boxed up in the garage. View from the fireplace side: Also, in case someone is wondering, the cabinet on the right side is floating because DH needed space for his sub AND there are a lot of plugs and ports on the wall behind it. It might be neat to build a little secret 3-sided front on legs to cover the space (using an Inviken front) but its an unlikely, low priority task...and DH probably won't want any obscured bass....See Moremandy_redworth
