We left Mana Island on March 1, 2018, the day that the crew for the previous season started arriving and the day the island was closed to other visitors. Here's a photo of one of the crew members playing ping pong:

That was a great article! I had no idea there were so many people (with cameras!) on the boat when it takes the contestants out towards their destination(s).

But, I know right now that we will not be watching the last minute of the show. It is scheduled to end at 8:01, and Chicago Med starts right at 8:00 and I don't want to miss the beginning of it, ever -- especially a full minute. (Yes, I know for most of you Survivor is on from 8:00 till 9:01, but our local CBS station airs an hour earlier (as if we were in the Central Time zone, even though we're Pacific).

Woo-hoo! I think this will be a fun season. It will be different at least.

Joe is still a force of nature! Enjoyed the show. Good choice to make at tribal!

Oh, I pegged that person as first to go under my theory of Most Annoying Person To Live With goes first. Doesn't always hold, like Natalie last season, but this one sealed her own fate by opening her mouth at TC. Note that even the guy who claimed to be a momma's boy voted for her.

I enjoyed it, I hope it keeps getting better and better.

Should have just kept her mouth shut. Bad attitude, pissy, chip on your shoulder does not endear you to anyone. I did not like the mouthy bald guy talking to her. He came off as a pushy jerk also. gag.

I will never understand the hype abt Wentworth. SHE should have gone home first.

We arent making our family picks til after episode 3. Right now Im leaning toward Eric the firefighter. Son was leaning towards Lauren, then abt crapped when her nane came up right away haha.

I was so glad to see Joe make a return but he is so good on challenges that he probably will be considered a threat and get voted off. :-(

Joe sure knows how to start a fire. Yep....no way they'll keep him.

What I cannot believe is when people (like Reem) say they are cold in Fiji. The water temperature is 88°F, and the low temperature at night is around 78°. If anyone can feel cold under those conditions, then they do not belong on the show. Just saying. I was outside in the rain in Fiji at night, and I still did not feel like I was cooling off, and I am very used to hot weather. I think Reem was also the one who did not know the difference between "lie" and "lay" - whoever it was claimed to be a lawyer, and it's difficult to believe that anyone could get through law school without understanding elementary school grammar/language.

I have a feeling that this season is the one that they started when we left Fiji, as the cyclone that they had in the previous season was from 2017.

I believe this season started filming on May 30, 2018.

Fiji is in the Southern Hemisphere, that means May is late fall, same as November in the Northern Hemisphere. I suspect it's a subtropical area but as it's not right at the equator it would be cooler in May than in summer months.

Was happy to see Reem go! Will be interesting to see what she has to do on that other island - looks like they didn't give her anything! I can't imagine sitting there by myself for 3 days... or more if the next person doesn't decide to go. I can't imagine any of them NOT choosing to go though.
