Delivery Issues on Bosch 800 Series Range
Comments (8)Sorry..have been out of town. I have been using the fridge in my living room as my kitchen still isn't done. This is my first French door and while I like it so far, I do find it sort of annoying that you have to open both doors to get to the larger crisper. I did not expect the freezer to have baskets instead of solid bottom shelves, but there appears to be something underneath to collect any possible drips. Other than that, it's beautiful and has lots of storage for a counter depth. I have to be certain the doors are properly closed. At first, I don't think I closed the door all the way and there was a lot of condensation dripping down the center panel between the 2 doors. I turned on humidity control and that resolved any issues. It's not a Liebherr, but short of that, I still think it was my next best choice. The stove is still boxed up, but I love the way it looks. I especially like that the knobs are substantial and on the front, rather than at a slant. So if it works as good as it looks, I'll be happy....See MoreAnyone have Bosch 800 french door fridge? Versus GE Cafe?
Comments (14)I too have been trying to purchase a refrigerator and a looking into Cafe and Bosch. When it comes to free standing like the B26FT50SNSand the Cafe CFE26KP2NS1, neither are made in the US. Bosch has been sold to a Chinese company Haier and most GE's are made in Korea. My concern is parts and services. My fridge today a side by side has lasted 19+ years but on the way out. All the sales folks tell me none of the fridges today are made to last more than 10 years. ( at 4xs the price I paid 19 years ago. My hope is that the consumer gets wiser and demands more commitment from both the manufacturer and the vendor to take on reliability issues....See MoreBosch 800 36” vs Liebherr 36” refrigerator
Comments (1)I had a Liebherr refrigerator I really liked. It was a 36" French door with two freezer drawers. Early on there were a couple of problems with the ice maker but after those repairs, and me being more careful not to load the freezer in a way that might damage the ice maker parts, it performed beautifully. I liked the small ice cubes but it makes ice slowly. it was not a problem for me but if you consume a lot of ice you may want a non-German refrigerator. I am considering getting a Bosch because I cannot afford a Liebherr this time around... Good luck!...See MoreNew Bosch 800 series refrig with beverage center?
