Tide Total Care/Cheer For Darks
Comments (7)Powdered Cheer is a good detergent for darks, despite the addition of a small amount of oxygen bleach. As aamassther stated, it is to neutralize chlorine in city water. It is not enough to do any fading at all. I have been using powdered Cheer for my darks and colors for years, and never have issues with color loss, even in hot water. Cheer powder does not contain OBA's, which i attribute to the fading of darks. The liquid Cheer versions DO have OBA's. OBA's are the enemy for darks, not the oxygen bleach. In my opinion, you are treating your dark clothes just fine with powdered cheer....See MoreThoughts on Cheer Dark Formula???
Comments (3)It rated 74 out of 100 in the newest ratings of detergents in Consumer Reports--it was #5 on the list. Tide was the #1 and it rated 85 out of 100 so the Cheer must be good. For HE Washers: Cheer HE rated #2 for HE washers with a score of 81 out of 100. Tide with bleach alt. HE rated #1 with a score of 87 out of 100. Last year the SA8 powder rated a 99 out of 100 and was the #1 on the list. This time it is rated at 66 out of 100---wonder what changed about this....See MoreTide Pur Clean
Comments (45)Exactly what I experienced with the PurClean. I dumped Downy down the chute and that was that but still. This is a ridiculous amount of suds for a product that's safe in HE machines. Id call P&G before returning it. They will send you a good coupon but you need the bottle when you call than return it. I'd also send P&G a pic. What a mess you had to deal with....See MoreTide PurClean Free?
Comments (6)I used it for a while and over time started not liking it. It is too sudsy and does not rinse all that well as littlegreeny said. I have been using the remainder of our bottle for delicates since there are no obs and it does contain protease. I had one shirt that is dark blue and was always washed with PurClean in cold with other dark non-colorfast items. After about a year it had deodorant build up and when smelling the armpits did have a slight odor of BO. I treated it with Tide FREE with Downy and washed it the same way and it was removed. When washing in warm or hot it should perform OK, but I would expect towels and sheets to require something a little more powerful. Hope this was helpful!...See Moredebbie2468
