Repainting black and white bathroom
Comments (9)I used a blue, I think it was quiet moments blue by BM, in my black white orginal hall bath and I use a Granite Grey by glidden in a black white 1980s redo powder room. I like both colors with the white and black combo:) I am hesitant to post this pic after the the orginal bath thread...It might look like a gut job to many but it brings me joy to think about how long good craftsmanship can last:). Powder room has black and white floor tile and plain square subway tile on wall....See MoreWill it work? Repainting to White/Black/Tiffany Blue Color Scheme

Comments (21)Note all of the in-the-wall lighting for the black stairs in one of the photos above. Really good, almost necessary idea for navigating black stairs at night. And there isn't much point in going to the expense of hardwood stair treads if you intend to color them black....See Moretrue black stained staircase, thoughts?
Comments (0)Hi I’m replacing all the flooring on my main floor to white oak wood with a satin color mix of weathered oak pickled oak and classic grey. Haven’t decided yet fully on which two of those and what ratio. But it will be some kind of grey taupe brown combo flooring. The front entry will be laid herringbone style and rest of rooms laid straight . I have a staircase that wraps around to my family room where you see a balcony and another staircase that leads to my kitchen. Thinking to stain entire staircase (red oak)banister and risers (are all wood)etc all in color true black. Thought that would contrast nice to the lighter flooring . I don’t want to match staircase to floor as I felt to get a stain in red oak wood and white oak wood to match each other would be tricky and end up fighting each other. I have high ceilings( two story foyer and family room) walls are painted shoreline and decorators white by Benjamin’s Moore. Wanted to know if this will all tie together nicely. Tia...See MoreJennifer
