what type of houseplant?!
Comments (6)Hoya carnosa - Plant Finder - Winter hardy to USDA Zones 10-12. In St. Louis, wax plant is easily grown as a houseplant. It is best grown in a standard, loamy, well-drained potting mix. It may be trained to a small trellis or framework. Site in bright light with at least 1/2 day of direct sun. Tolerant of curtain-filtered sun and bright indirect light. Good light is necessary for flower production. Pots should not be rotated or moved to another location after flower buds appear. Water plants moderately but consistently throughout the growing season, allowing the soils to become nearly dry between water applications. In winter, plants require less bright light, less watering and tolerate night temperatures to 50F degrees. Do not remove the flowering stalk after bloom because new flowers will form on the old spur....See MoreWhat is this houseplant?

Comments (16)I agree with Rhizo_1 about the haircut, but I wouldn't do it until the spring. Over the winter, give it a bit more light and a mist once in a while. No fertilizer. It's still recovering and shouldn't be forced into growth right now. By spring, it will be well-rested and ready to grow, so a pruning and a bit of fertilizer will revive it then....See MoreWhat is this houseplant?
Comments (2)Callisia fragrans - basket plant. Almost a weed but fun to grow. Teeny tiny flowers that are indeed fragrant. I usually took off lots of long vines in late October for compost. Here is how they are weeds (at least when it is warm). It has some color - not a lotEasy to see why it is weedy. It blooms when the conditions are right - I need to move it to more sun to get it to bud though. Here is a hover fly on some blooms a few years ago. Easy care plant but you will be up to your elbows in it if all goes smoothly....See Moreken_adrian Adrian MI cold Z5
