The normal suspect would be over-watering and/or a medium that holds too much water. Images not clear enough to say with any certainty sunburn is in play. When plants suffer sunburn, it's actually a chemical reaction in the leaf cuticle involving the plant's photosynthesizing mechanism. Without getting into too much detail, too much sun causes the plant to produce oxidase that oxidizes organic molecules. One of the oxidizers you'll undoubtedly recognize is H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide). Just as H2O2 bleaches (oxidizes) pigments in your hair and kills organic molecules in wounds, it also bleaches chlorophyll and other organic compounds in leaves. The result is usually a silvery/ gray/ white area toward the center of the over-exposed leaves. This area then turns brown to black, depending on the succulency of the leaf. I would expect leaves of jade to be black within a couple of days of exposure. The area you have drawn attention to in the first image looks to be a physiological disorder called oedema. It's primary driver is over-watering/ soil compaction, but several other cultural conditions can exacerbate it. It occurs when the plant's internal water pressure is high enough to burst cells, the contents of which leak into intercellular spaces in surrounding tissues. It starts as a blister or wet spot and eventually turns rough and corky. BTW - your plant would show a good measure of appreciation in return for increasing its photo load, also by a good measure. The white dots are salt deposits left behind when sap that makes its way to the leaf surface evaporates. ..... not sure what caused the brown, crusty patches on the epidermis. It could be any number of things: sunburn (photo-oxidation), something phytotoxic landing on the leaves (like hair spray or mist from a spray room deodorizer), air pollution (smokers in the house?), over-watering/oedema, a cleaning agent that might have been used to remove dust from leaves ....... Really - there's not enough info to make a meaningful diagnosis. Al

It looks like C.o. Crosby's Compact , is it? It looks as something bit off chunks of leaves. Where inside is it? I would guess a mice. They can get inside. When I lived in 'big city', there used to be mice around. I started to leave a nut (peanut, almond or any I happened to have) around. If it disappeared, I knew there is a mouse (or few) around, and set mouse trap. I have been living 'in the country' for quite a few years, and didn't catch a mouse inside the house yet...I still leave nuts around - just a habit :) I get similar damage on some of my succulents outdoors, mainly done by chipmunks. Outgrowing the container would not cause that kind of damage. If I may suggest, your plant is not receiving enough light. If you look at branches, they are all leaning toward source of light. And they are etiolated - sets of leaves are far apart. Plant receiving enough sunlight will be compact: Leaning could be 'fixed' by turning the pot every couple of weeks or so, allowing all sides to receive same amount of light. Or putting a light directly above. Etiolation can't be reversed, and only enough light will prevent it from happening further.

Any idea what’s going on here? It had a few spots a couple days ago and I just assumed it was because of the sun (SoCal has been v hot lately). Today I came out to find multiple leaves like this. Anything I can do to stop it spreading? Does it look like just sun damage? Noob here, I’d appreciate some help!
