Does anybody use pink lipstick?
Comments (16)I love all pinks for spring and summer. I also like it to stay put. I always use Revlon Colorstay since you can put it on for an evening out and wakeup with it on! I just picked up a nice natural pink called Eternal Petal. It is very close to my own lip color. That said, I also like the pinks that are lighter and more shimmery. I've just ordered a pink from Avon - I think its called Twig that all the gals at work wear. It's also a pretty natural looking pink, and I am hoping it looks as good on me as it does the gals I've seen it on....See MoreWhat's your favorite everyday run-around-town lipstick shade?
Comments (31)Avon Twig - pinkish brown looks totally natural on any skin tone. "Looks natural except better." My favorite for everyday running around. Clinique lipsticks are are rather sheer so there is a broader range of colors that can work for a natural look. For long lasting lipcolor in a natural tone, that you do not have to keep reapplying: Revlon Colorstay - Fawn is natural looking but has undertones of orange in the brown, and Flesh has undertones of pink. I change then seaonally depending whether or not I am tan. Burt's Bees has a line of lipstick that all look pretty much natural, depending on how heavy you apply them. They only have a choice of like eight colors and are designed to go with any skin tone. For some reason I cannot find them anywhere anymore in the stores....See MoreRed lipstick??
Comments (25)I have a red lipstick from Nars (can't remember the name of it, of course, but it's a clear red-red, not mauvey or pinky) that I use just as Stinky described. Dab on a bit, then add some cherry chapstick and smoosh it all around. Is that too technical? Problem is, it doesn't last. I wish there was the equivalent of hair spray for lip color! My go-to is a more earthy maroon-ish hue, and again I can't wear it full-strength or I feel like I look strange. On the other hand, I have found that as I've aged (I'm 48) I've lost a lot of color in my lips, so if I go out with nothing on my lips, I look monochromatic! Honestly, on a typical day, the lip color I use most is Bonne Bell Dr. Pepper. How embarrassing. But it has just a little color and I don't have to check it in the mirror!...See MoreIs your decorating sense similar to your fashion sense?
Comments (33)My home definitely does reflect my interior~tan, ivory/white, black, gold(upholstery) and leopard print(upholstery)! I've been wearing ivory for years and ivory pants/sweater was my signature Christmas outfit for years. I have everything from scarves to pj's in leopard print, so maybe that's why I had the slipper chairs in the greatroom done in leopard print. Even my tabby, white cat, and Australian cattle dog(tan)work into the color scheme. LOL I have a ton of gray in clothing(shoes/purses too!)but not in my home~if I did, I would pair it with a bright fuchia. I do have a few fuchia, cobalt, turquoise tops, but no other colors, and also a lot of brown. And I love metallics, especially knits. While I do love color on other people, at 5'1" and 110 lbs, the color usually wears me instead of the other way around. I was in retail for 25 years and really found out what works best for me....See Moreilikefriday
