If you mean can lighting, yes if there is room for shallow housed cans. There are also some LED's out there that look like cans. Normally there isnt a lot of room on a slope to put cans so you have to check with an electrician.

I'm sure you meant to say "can" lighting. Most here are advising 4" cans with dimming feature and LED bulbs. Looks like the front door could use an update too.

I'd prefer a hanging light fixture so I could replace the bulbs easily. If you get your regular A shaped step ladder, see how high up you can comfortably reach from the highest safe step. That's a good maximum height for the light bulbs to end up.

There are pole widgets for changing can light bulbs. Read reviews to see if they'd work for you.

LED will not pose that issue, most will be rated for what converts into yearS. You might want a hanging fixture over the door

Yes Oops meant can lighting, yes we just had the ceiling painted and what you see is the overspray, walls are being painted this weekend. I will look into the led can lights.

And yes new front door Just not right now. We are going to give the whole exterior a face lift in the fall and Will probably do the doors then.

Oh and no the pitch is not a different color, there is a beam running across and that is making the area look shadowed.
