Obscure Shower Glass
Comments (3)I'm hearing you about having some privacy in the shower glass. I'm starting to plan bathroom redo's and would prefer a shower rod and curtain, but my husband swears they are out, and wants a glass door (yuck). ANYWAY, we were looking at the big box home store and saw that Kohler has a variety of patterned glass doors, including one that has a bamboo-like pattern. So, what you want does exist. Here is a link to a shower door website that has a bamboo pattern. http://cybershowerdoor.com/glass-options/heavy-glass-patterns...See MoreWhere to buy 'glass' for kitchen glass cabinet doors???
Comments (2)Try a local full-service glass store. Most will have a large number of options on display. The ones in our area have excellent selections as well as great service and advice not available in the big boxes....See MoreTranslucent/obscured windows for kitchen
Comments (10)I used a translucent, obscuring window film in my kitchen......I wanted to maximize the light (because they're the only windows in my kitchen), but I needed to obscure the view to the public pathway 5' from my windows. I love the result, but I also had some restrictions you do not (I'm in a condo so I couldn't replace the windows). But the up-side to using a film is that it's removable and can be changed if you do re-style or redecorate your kitchen. This is it in my kitchen...See MoreGlass fronts kitchen cabinets?
Comments (2)Depends on what you want to store behind glass. Cabinets 1-7 work when you have a lot of display items. Platters on a stand, nice pitchers, etc that you don't need to pack in tight. My preference is to use glass cabinets for dishes and glassware. It's nice for kitchen guests to see at a glance where to find a plate or mug. I would do this with cabinets 13 and 14. 12 as well if you are using it for dish storage. Glass on the small upper cabinets above as well, with a few platters and pitchers on more solo display up there. That's a VERY white kitchen. Glass fronts are a good idea, and maybe you want to stock them with dishes in a nice color that you repeat in countertop accessories....See MoreLou Ann McCutcheon
