You’re right about that SoFL, but there are still several of their newer ones I want to try and I hadn’t given other new introductions much thought, but it’s always exciting to learn about any new roses from Kordes.

It is odd that there would be nothing new from Kordes. The Kordes love it here. They need more new ones. I guess I should try Bliss since I don't have it yet.

Moses, I know stuff sells out quick for bulbs and Peonies (these are items I mailorder). As a new rose grower, I learned that too . I had like 15 items in my cart, and the poof, one day, one item being NLA. I know know that fellow rosarians and such scoop them up like the latter stuff I mailorder and see out even before the season has started

A1: wait til next fall / winter when palantine releases their roses . You will think it’s Black Friday and there is a $5 toaster sale going on . It’s crazy!! Now I am part of it so I’m not making fun.. I set an alarm, yell at dh to leave me alone and get armed with the credit card. It’s mayhem !! Lol

Yes. You must grow Bliss. It’s fantastIc. Large, beautiful blooms. Gorgeous color and very happy in my no spray garden.

I’m guessing without Newflora around, we’re not getting more Kordes. I wonder if Star has rights to introduce new Kordes varieties, or only what they purchased from New Flora.

After all of the enablers showing off their beautiful pictures of Bliss I am totally in love with that rose and wondering where the heck it can fit.

The ones listed as new on their website are ones that have been around for a while.

The ones under the ‘New‘ category seem like they’ve been around since Newflora days. But some like ’Lone Star’ Sunbelt I’ve not heard of before.

Sultry, where did you find Peach Swirl? That's one I wanted to order for spring and haven't found it yet. As for Lone Star, it's a pretty tough and typical Kordes disease free rose in my climate - mostly white in my heat with hints of cream or yellow. It's in crappy soil and part sun and still puts out roses every few weeks without complaint. I haven't sorted pictures for the year, but I'd put it in the good to very good category, noting that many of the "excellent" Kordes are in my top 20 roses ever.

Ben, I got Lone Star from Chamblees when Mark had his sale area. $5 it was! It is planted in my garden cottage area and is in a prime spot. I have been very pleased with it - its grown well, shrubby and covers itself in pale yellow blooms. It blackspots about like everything else but its very healthy and I like it alot. I sure miss Chamblees sale area! Mark would put stuff from other hybridizers there that were treasures. I still have an unknown apricot climber from some unknown hybridizer with no name that I love.

I got a few roses from that sale area too! Mme Anisette, Tupelo Honey, Delightful Phyllis, Summer Romance , Kosmos. Such fun looking through that greenhouse.

Nice to know about Lone Star seems appropriate that it does well in Texas!. I guess its not so new then.

@Kristine just got mine from ARE this last fall . They have it available ! Nice thick sticks too . Im sure she will be stellar shes been in the ground since Oct .

Kenneth, I will be a great rose for you. It sure is a healthy looking plant and a good price . I have gotten some really nice plants from the Antique rose Emporium

Bliss is an excellent rose. Very healthy. Here is a pic of one I picked a couple of days ago. It’s great in the vase.
