Youth furniture quality help
Comments (1)In the past 8 years, we have bought 3 different furniture sets for our 3 kids. We purchased from Ethan Allen, Stanley YA, and Costco. Ethan Allen's furniture was very nice quality, as nice as anything we have in our own bedroom. Stanley was less so, just not quite as solid and the finish hasn't held up as well as EA, but just fine IMO for a child's room. We found the Costco furniture to be equivalent to Stanley, perhaps a little heftier in weight. (Maybe because we actually moved it ourselves, LOL.) Any more questions let me know... Good luck....See MoreHesitant to Buy Hooker Furniture Dining Room Collection
Comments (3)Thanks for the info. After looking at several posts and follow-ups in this forum and thinking about all day I came to the conclusion that if I was having that much difficulty deciding whether or not to buy the furniture, it probably wasn't the furniture for me. Took my husband and daughter shopping tonight and finally found another dining room set which I absolutely fell in love with. Bought it on the spot. I've only been looking for a little over a year (no joke). Oh, and not to seem totally stupid, but since I'm not real savvy when it comes to the language used in these posts, could you plese tell me what "MDF" is. If nothing else, I'm learning a lot in this forum....See MoreGood quality furniture for home office.
Comments (1)I would rate them in order of quality, 1 being the best: 1. Sligh, Upper medium to low high-end quality. Last I knew, mostly made in U.S. 2. Ethan Allen, medium quality. About 60% imported. 3. Hooker, lower medium quality. I think it's all imported now with quality that has declined over the past several years. Mostly veneer over particleboard. I would rate either of the first 2 several steps above Hooker, but then, it's reflected in the price....See MoreHooker Furniture - Sable Creek -Antique White
