Lighting Kitchens Design Dilemma

Pendant Lights Everywhere! To match or not to match?

We have 6 pendant lights in our kitchen. 3 over the 8’ island. 2 above sink. 1 above kitchen table.

The island and sink lights are the same style/manufacturer, but different shapes.

I love the kitchen table light, but am ready to refresh the others.

Should the sink and island pendants match the style of the brushed nickel pendant over the kitchen table?

When I originally picked our lights, my thought process was to keep the island and sink pendants simple in order to not distract from the backsplash.

Suggestions are more than welcome! Thanks everyone!

Personally I prefer something that coordinates without matching, but that's personal taste.

How many total bulbs do you want across the island: one, two, three? How big is the sink? What style of cabinets do you have; maybe you could post some pictures for an overall view?

I think that as long as you have a warm metal ( if that’s what you’re wanting for fixture) you’ll see that it looks fine together. I would focus on finding a light that you love rather than finding a perfect match to the pulls. My kitchen pendants are a different tone than my pulls and it doesn’t stick out as being odd. everything doesn’t have to be a * perfect* match

I would remove the two smaller pendants and replace with recessed lights and keep the 3 over the island and the one over the table.

That's a lot of pendants. My thought was the same as Judy's - replace the ones over the sink with can lights.
