Why is Trump bringing this up again?

catticusmockingbird

Seems like it would be a good one to let fade into the sunset.

Trump has really gotten the goat of so many, and on a daily basis, looking for every little thing to shout about.

Not working is a little thing? Failure to understand the constitution is a little thing?

Or, maybe you were talking about his little thing. Which is why he is the fool he is.

My cats spend a similar amount of "executive time".

He is SO transparent.

At this point, one has to conclude that anyone defending this schmoe is either a dupe or completely cynical.

Trump just can't stand it that people know he spends hours everyday sitting on the toilet tweeting.

His goat was gotten

If he wasn't such a glaring hypocrite, people wouldn't care as much. He was hysterical when Obama was president and went on vacations or golfing, and he promised he would be too busy working to ever golf.

Ha, right. He works like 2 hours a day and spends millions and millions on frequent vacations and golf outings that far outpace Obama. Not only that but he gets to pay himself with tax payer money for taking vacation!

He's such a dirty liar and hypocrite.

That schedule wasn't Fake News. It was blank.

The second part of that tweet was just as defensive. He explained how all that work has resulted in him fixing VA, healthcare, tax policy, immigration problems, North Korea. All fixed!

I'm still thinking about JR's "Savage!!" tweet response to his dad's TRAIL tweet to Warren.

Reports are he's obsessed with finding who leaked the schedule and has IT on it.

He’s been fuming as who leaked the executive time schedule so he’s doing damage control. Two hours a day, Chi?? You give him too much credit.

Chi - "Not only that but he gets to pay himself with tax payer money for taking vacation!"

Yup, AND somehow Trump manages to get the taxpayers to pay for all his trips here and there that are supposedly to be on the country's business but are IMHO de facto "rallies" for his ego.

"...I am GENERALLY working..."

Studies show that people tend to overestimate how much we work, on average by about 10%. The more important we are, the more grotesque the overestimate is.

It's entirely possible that the man really believes that he is hard at work.

LMAO

In fact, Vanity Fair's Gabriel Sherman reports, the leaking of the schedules, "which revealed how little work Trump actually does, was a signal of how disaffected his staff has become." The main problem, one former West Wing official told Sherman, is that "Trump is hated by everyone inside the White House." Sherman's 10 sources said Trump's management style, paranoia, penchant for blaming staff for problems he created, and increasing tendency to "run the West Wing as a family business," have left staff burned out and resentful, and several high profile aides are eying the exits, including Whit House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney. Source: The Week

If you really want to know what someone is like, ask the people who work for him.

Funny, redsox, I’ve been avoiding going there but ever since this topic came up I’ve given a name to the inordinate amount of time my teenage son spends in the bathroom.

No intelligence.

He’s probably talking to his lawyers. Nothing we have seen in the last three years would indicate that he is actually reading, listening to the experts around him or in any way serving the country.

Did he 'get ink' with that statement? Yes! He'll use anything as a hook to keep himself in front of his base. They don't read for content. He knows they only need to see him in the news to keep believing he's *somebody*.

Many people do their best thinking in the loo. Obama must have been constipated.

He is controlling the news cycle with this stuff; it isn't stupid. Every bizarre statement gets pointed out by the press, which then allows him to make additional statements about how badly he is being treated. He leads them by the nose, and instead of talking about anything of import, the conversation goes down the toilet, as evidenced. If that is the only work being accomplished during executive time, it serves his purpose.

This White House relies on others for more detailed jobs.
