Living Room Furniture Layout - Need Help Please!
Comments (7)les917 - the answers are no and no. No TV, and we cannot (and I don't think want to) move the fireplace. nanny2a - thanks, you are totally right. The coffee table is shown slightly in the wrong spot. I envision it being a coffee table sitting in front of the large sectional (hence wanting it to be the length it is). It will not be sitting in the center of the room like shown. Does anyone see any concern about clearance between the chaise and the fireplace (where one would walk to go from center of living room into the dining room). What kind of clearance do you think is needed/what is the max length and width I could get away with for a chaise/daybed in that area? And does anyone see an issue with the fireplace sitting in the middle of the room, and nothing really being oriented towards it? That is one of my primary concerns with the layout I've put together......See More60's Corner Fireplace is Throwing off Room Layout - NEED HELP PLEASE!
Comments (33)Partim had it above...... embellished below You decorate/arrange for MOST of the time....... four chairs will easiiy go around the table. Float and forget the rest. Go get a big pouf cocktail table, or a round glass top to fight all the rectangles in the room. Get an inexpensive 5 x 7 rug, or a great faux hide rug! Snug the table to the wall...... add a great big piece of art or even a mirror !It is what it is. When you can lose the loveseat? Lose it.! And you will lose a " visual wall" : ) You can angle those for conversation and walk right through. Doesn't matter...this is what you have now. And it fits. Just make it work . If it is two of you dining MOST of the time......you don't worry on the rest of the time where you might want six. This is why god invented "buffet style". Bottom line is you are both "over " and under furnished. For the moment. lol...See MoreNeed help arranging furniture in living room with fireplace
Comments (1)Can you "float" your coach in the room, facing the patio doors, maybe with a sofa table behind it? You could then put the TV on the wall across from the fireplace, maybe a chair in the corner next to the fireplace. That might not be optimal TV viewing from the couch, however. But the arrangement doesn't look great where the TV is now....See MoreFireplace room needs your furniture help!
Comments (5)Nice spacious room and a great fireplace. I'm not adept at floor plans so hopefully, others will post. I just want to note that you should pick out your furniture before you purchase your rug. Often we see people choose a rug that is too small for their furniture arrangement and the room looks off. The other thing I want to mention that cool gray (walls) and warm browns (floor and ceiling) is a tough color scheme to pull off. You have a good start by choosing a rug pattern with warm and cool colors. Try to balance both colors around the room to make the color combination look cohesive....See MoreRelated Professionals
