Where to stop kitchen backsplash on 2 walls (windows & open shelves)

Help! I've had different opinions on how far up my new kitchen backsplash should go. The new tile is a 4" x 16" slight off-white subway tile (hand-made look). To be on the safe side, I bought enough tile to go all the way up to the bottom of the cabinet crown mouldings. I'm starting to think I should skip doing any tile above the sink window since the window trim butts up against the cabinets on either side. Thoughts? Also, on the stove wall with the open shelves, would appreciate opinions on where to stop the tile there. Should I go to the base of the crown moulding? Or to the base of the top shelf? Or line up with the top of the window trim? Or maybe just keep it to where the current backsplash is? ;) Now I'm completely at a loss! In the event it's hard to tell in the photos, the new tile is very close in colour to the cabinets and walls (walls are BM Cloud White).
