I saw these stained glass window/shutter things. I want to consider something like this. I love the sunlight coming through the window into the hallway, but also understand guests may feel exposed when showering. So having something that could be opened or closed would be awesome. But also I'm reasonable so it may not happen.

HIWE, the wall width is 7 ft from shower to corner. The door covers about 2 ft when it is open. Plus I want to leave space for towel hooks next the shower door.

IDK. I held up some frames I have that were roughly the same size and thought it looked okay. fingers crossed bc they have been shipped!

Kjoy, the stained glass piece will go in the shower window. It is not frosted or anything and looks out into part of the garden in the side yard. There is rarely someone showering while someone is in the garden, so IMO it's not a necessity.

I've wanted to hang some flowering plants outside in that area, but also know I will probably forget to water them. Putting something outside the window to block some peeking in is also a possibility. Just need to think of it haha

Going to be fun! Might be able to put colorful non glass vases on window sill of shower window to block sone views. Or hang a stained glass panel up there. I am sure you will find something.

Hm. Depends a bit on who you have taking showers in that room. I noticed my daughter-in-law closes the curtain in my bathroom when she uses it to shower…and there is absolutely no one in my backyard! you may know what the status quo is of your backyard but someone using shower may not.

I don’t have curtains in my bathrooms, nobody back there, but the deer.

Here an out of the box idea for your window. Go to some stone yards and pick a small piece of onyx. So beautiful with back lighting. This is highend example but you would just get it finished on edges so it fit in opening with some drainage spots to avoid water sitting behind it. So many beautiful colors. I did this for a client in a huge shower and it was a beast to prep shower and panels at build stage but the final result was amazing. Very expensive but for one small window it wouldn’t be much at all. Fun!

I like a cosy feel in a bathroom so understand the need for privacy and you do have neighbors. How long before your pictures arrive? Very impressive shower Flo!!

There's no view or risk of from the neighbors from the bathroom window. Honestly, I'm more considering stained glass just to add some pretty. I'm not too concerned about my guests lol

if you find that the posters don't need to be larger i recommend these frames. just pull the matting out. great frames for the price and i use them a lot for client projects

if you find the posters are too small then you will need a larger frame that you can beef up the size with matting.

I’m home with a sick kid so I took down the tin foil towel bar and taped them up.

I don’t think they’ll be too small once they have a frame around them. They’ll be a bit farther apart.
I’ll try looking at my paint book and see what looks best. I definitely think the walls need some kind of color.

I just read some of this and saw that you have several cigar box art. I wondered why you didn’t carry that idea onto the other wall.? So many have such lovely colors that seem to go very nicely with your tile and cabinets. The oblong formats also seem to work in your space. Just a thought🤷🏼‍♀️

Hi Lynn! Glad to see you here, albeit monday quarterbacking ;) I guess I didn't stick with the cigar box theme because I never thought of it? I don't know if I really want a "cigar" theme bathroom specifically. Although I do like that tiger, he's pretty cool. And the color does go great with the vanity.

I can check how the new prints look in the guest room, but they are going somewhere!

Hm. Lynn, nice to see your name come up!👋 Well, I disagree here. Go big or go home…lol. I like three across and matching the cigar boxes art feels TOO matchy…there’s a theme, that is enough. They aren’t line of sight, and are to be enjoyed separately. I like variety and eclectic in decor. And colour. I would space them a bit further apart.

I do like the idea posted of the towel bar underneath the art however… with some nice colourful towels on it. Is that going to happen? It pulls that wall together.

No mat. They are poster art. White, thin simple edge, or a light wood. Cigar boxes are wood are they not?

I could see this wall working with two however… You could mount the posters on a white or coloured back board, let some of the backboard show, with a white framed edge. No glass. If you do two the woman dancing and the car on the street scene make a really nice pair. Mounting on a backboard without glass does not have the same formality as matting, would increase the size, and allows each print some personal space.

Although IKEA does sell a very simple inexpensive frame with a white mat. Thinking about the level of moisture in the bathroom you may in fact need some thing over the posters.

I thought about it and I like these prints in the bathroom. Unless the door is closed, there is a pretty straight view from the entry to this bath wall. So they provide some good color and interest.

I may move my leopard art on the wall to the left of the bathroom, but that's for another day haha

I bought some wood frames but I don't think they will work. They are floating frames but all they had. I just wanted to get some home to try out the look.

White frames may be interesting. Hopefully I have time this next week during spring break to try some paint colors out.

Any thoughts on this light for the vanity? It's more $$ than I wanted to spend but I'm quite taken by it.

This is 32" wide. The current one is 25". I think I can go wider but not sure how wide.

I’m going to say that the prints would benefit greatly from a mat and frame . I find them a bit busy and matting and frames temper them when using them together in this smaller space. Two seems to be enough. The art deco light is very lovely but not so relatable to what’s in this space. It’s a pretty bathroom; work with what you have. A soft color on the walls; soft new ,towels, new fixtures and knobs.

Seeing Lynn’s mock-up, really helps. I don’t think it’s too formal if you pick the right frames… and having the mat does set them off nicely… as well as protecting them, which I think you are going to need in a bathroom setting.

Plus the mat enlarges space covered, so you only need two. The poster with the drink isn’t as effective as the other two, that lead your eye out of the room, which is nice in a an enclosed space.
