Cindy, You can send a private message by going to anyone's post and clicking their name. This should bring you to their page, and if their messaging is set up there will be a "MESSAGE" button on the top right of their page. Click that and it opens up a message box you can write in and send :D

Curtis, glad I posted and you followed up with me. Sometimes these messages go astray or you dont see them. If you dont get a notification via email, do you know how to go in and view your messages on the site? At the top of this page, there is a "Your Houzz". Click or Hover your cursor of that and there will be a drop down menu. Click "your Houzz" below in that drop down box. Then it takes you to your page, and you will see "messages" under the photo at the top of your page along with "Ideabooks etc". Click your messages and it takes you to your inbox, you can also go to your outbox as well. Let me know if you still can't see. I'm going to send another message, but when I look at our "email trail" on the private message you sent me initially, I can see my response that was sent to you. It may be you dont know where to look?? OR it DID go astray. This happens, which is why I say it's good to follow up.

I’m a new serious gardener lol that sounds funny but no, In the past I had plants here and there but didn’t really have a plan or direction. Those plants where more for decoration in my home. I was definitely not the “type” to go out and get dirty, weird how things change for the better <3. Anyways the last few seasons, little by little I’ve been learning by growing plants such as tomatoes, cucumbers and a few others veggies and flowers.

My friends and family give me seeds but they aren’t really of the gardener mind set so they don’t know what to get me. They usually get me tons of packages of the same thing :) they are very sweet and appreciated but I’ll actually end up trading some of those seeds on here I imagine .. I would really like to start an Edible Perennial Garden in my zone 8B. I’ve changed a lot as a person and it seems like my interest have followed :p My reason for gardening is not only because I love plants but they also help supplement my vegetarian lifestyle. I was hoping that I could maybe get some seeds to help with my goals. Thanks!

i just build a 16x8 raised bed built with doubled up lattice, my plan is to have strawberries growing from sides of the raised bed through the lattice work,

i am host interested in collecting "basic" heairloom seeds for purpose of obtaining and maintaining a true to seed garden.

it seems homedepot and lowes only carry hybrids for the most part.

i am interested in taking part of this exchange and many more if I can be directed toward them.

I am starting a new garden and would love to get involved in the seed exchange! My gardening space is limited to a raised bed and some borders, where I plan to plant flowers that will provide food for pollinators and wild birds. So far, I have set up a bird bath, bird feeder, mason bee house (bee cocoons are still in my refrigerator). My next steps will be to prepare the soil in the raised bed and add a few trellises. I'm very excited! Given my current setup, I would prefer flowers.

Hi All, Glad I finally found this site. I was on here close to 15 years ago and things have changed! I moved and would like to know if anyone has heirloom seeds, looking for the beefsteak tomato, red beets, egg plant, red pepper, green pepper, jalepeno and eggplant. I am new to gardening in Kansas. We have REALLY SANDY SOIL.

I had a garden growing up in Louisiana with my father. I was miltary wife and grew flowers only. When I moved to KS in early 90’s I have had gardens off and on but have always had purchase plants from stores. I had some success only when used chemicals and use potting soil. We have huge problems with insects and gophers. Last yr I lost over 3/4 of my garden to aphids squash bugs and gophers. Each yr I struggle with the decision to continue gardening. Which why Im super happy to have found this site. I did not see a seed exchange for KS on here nor have I found any local seed exchange. So this year I like to grow from seeds. I am looking for veggies herbs and flowers. Perennials and herlooms would be great as I would like to try organic gardening.

I also like to learn how to gather my own seeds.
