Comments (5)I like my first idea best as far as use of space. I know people say not to put toilets on an outside wall. We had one in our last house in Iowa, but we had 2X6 construction. I don't know how high your window is, but I'm guessing the toilet would fit under there. The shower would be 5 feet long or shorter if you want a wider space to get to the toilet. (kind of tight the way I have drawn). You could do a 5 and half foot long shower and do an angled door at the left end to allow room between the shower and toilet. The vanity would be about 7 feet long, unless you do a 60 inch vanity with a linen cabinet at the door. I would reverse entry door swing if you do that.. The second top right could work and you would still have a small closet. The bottom left plan would require waterproofing your front window. Hopefully someone will give you other ideas. The bottom right plan is bigger, but no closet. Each square equals 1 foot....See MoreDecor for awkward master bedroom wall
Comments (40)Thank you, pennydesign! I think I'm going to look at floating headboards with integrated nightstands. Something like this maybe I can chalk paint and put some better drawer pulls on. And still love the simple hanging pendant light idea. Kind of gives a blank slate for the above bed decor I'll have to play with a bit more. And definitely some nice Roman shades for the windows....See Moremaster bedroom- awkward layout!
Comments (27)Not a bad idea, however you won’t have much access since there is only small amount of space on each side of bed. Might want to experiment first before you spend money on this approach. I think the closet concept is good, but move the bed or you will be fighting to get at clothing....See MoreAwkward Bedroom layout
Comments (15)I got inspired by everyone's advice and made some major changes, but I still have a ways to go! Added wallpaper, removed and added some furniture and rearranged. What is needed next? I think a rug, chandelier fan, large gold mirror over the dresser and something (maybe sconces) over the bed and possibly remove those nightstands in exchange for some very simple, smaller ones with a circular top and "x" for legs. Also a rug (I am thinking soft tan/cream colored cheetah/leopard and not sure if I need window treatments. It is a small room. I don't want it to look even smaller with more stuff unless it makes the room look fabulous! I haven't had a rug or window treatments in this room for years because of my severe allergies, but I am realizing the rug will really tie the room together, right? BTW I am grateful for this forum. I have done nothing in my house for years and finally have gotten some motivation from everyone!...See MoreRelated Professionals
