Need a quick answer
Comments (2)Hi Marilyn, Did you get the brug cuttings I sent you? I dont see any reason why you cant take a few cuttings off your brugs in the event they dont fare well in the freeze. They must be too large to cover? I have 2 HUGE ones that I'm going to attempt to cover today.I covered them once before and boy was it a chore.Grrrrr! I put my other potted baby brugs in the Florida room of one of our empty rental units.I'll probably still end up throwing a sheet over them...just in case:) Good Luck,Stay Warm and Happy Gardening! Comments (6)doug sorry. I did not read your post close enough about the size of the XV90. probably a toss-up. however you would probably never use the second stage of either furnace. the XV90 is an upflow mdl. Don't you really need a downflow for attic location? might be something to ask dealer. have no data to back it up but I would bet the XV80 would have lower operating costs just because of the 1st stg sizing BTUs. what stat are you getting? it needs to be a two stg with dual fuel capability and outdoor sensor. Comments (3)Oh Of course not those type of "designer" colors! :) I was thinking very earthy greens, green brown shades or green Grey shades. The new roof is getting put on tomorrow and its called weathered wood. I was torn between that and a grayer looking color...My husband liked the weathered wood. It will work because it is replacing a cedar shake roof. I just wanted to make sure it goes with my green idea, I love green with a nice off white trim!...See MoreNeed a quick answer - refrigerator cabinet & heat buildup
Comments (7)We bought these in 2002, and all it says in the manual is 3" clearance on sides and 1" in the back. It doesn't specify the top but they can get hot enough to melt chocolate bars. I think at the time the manual was written, it wasn't common to put a cabinet around them. So specs aside, I wanted to know what other people had experienced. dianalo has the same set I do, and she told me she has 3" on the sides and 6" on top, but I don't think I asked if the heat had become an issue. She did say they told her a vent wasn't necessary. The problems I forsee if heat builds up, is warping the wood, or drying out the finish. But it's water under the bridge now. We decided not to glue or biscuit the rail between top cabinet and top of the set. Then, if the heat becomes an issue, we can either take it out completely, or change it to one that allows ventilation. And it will also allow changes if the next fridge/freezer isn't the same size. I am still curious if anyone has had any problems with heat from the units. Mine are sealed coil and have a vent at the bottom, but nothing at the top....See MoreBluebell66
