your favorite BS resistant yellow or apricot rose for cutting
Comments (19)Apricot is my favorite color of rose so I do grow quite a few and have found most to be healthy and hardy. I do spray, however, but most of these I think would be okay without it. Nancy Reagan--took 2 yrs to mature, but now--WATCH OUT! Mother of Pearl--Marvelous health, vigor, quantity of bloom Marilyn Monroe--All the goodness of her daddy St. Patrick in an apricot flower. European Touch-Monster bush with tons of flowers and no disease. Tahitian Sunset--Multi-color and fragrant--delicious. Welcome Home--Yellow HT-monster bush and tons of flowers. Southern Belle--Little known J&P yellow with old-fashioned blooms and wonderful fragrance. Gold Medal--The absolute grandiflora standard of perfection About Face--took 2 years to establish, now it is huge and throws scads of beautiful blooms. Hollywood Star--Probably the oveall best John Sheldon hybridyzed rose. Beautiful apricot blooms healthy/hardy Day Breaker--My favorite of ALL roses. Great bush without flowers, breathtaking when loaded with dozens of multi-colored apricot/pink/yellow/cream blooms. John...See MoreShare your yellow house
Comments (30)Thank you for the compliments! zipdee, wanna trade? LoL. Actually, everyone's house on this thread is wonderful. I love them all. I am going to Home Depot tonight, actually, and will check the color of my house paint. I am pretty sure that it was Behr, and will determine the actual color name. Be advised, though, that at least on my monitor, the color is a little more subtle that in reality. On my monitor it looks more cream than yellow. It's actually the opposite. You can check a paint chip in person. Suzieque...See MoreShare your ORANGE/APRICOT Roses
Comments (39)Desertgarden, Sonia Rykiel was still in her little pot from the nursery when she produced that blossom in the pic above. Once I got her in the ground, she only grew in size. That one bloom was big and had a nice fragrance. Thanks, Sara-Ann, for sharing the roses around your Crazy Love. I think it would be nice planted near lavender or purple, but yellow sounds like a good companion, too. I just don't have many yellows....See MoreYour favorite cold hardy orange and yellow roses
Comments (5)Easy Does It is hands down the most floriferous rose I have ever grown. It's not a vivid orange more of a saturated apricot with large frilly edged blooms. It gets some die back, I'd call it snow line hardy, but is so healthy and vigorous that it quickly makes up any loss. I'd recommend grafted. Trumpter is the most vivid red/orange I can imagine and is very hardy. It's a compact bush with fairly large blooms, a generous bloomer, tends to blackspot so does best in full sun with good air circulation or would benefit from anti-fungal spray. Oranges & Lemons is also very hardy. In my garden it wasn't the best bloomer and took up a lot for space, grew long canes acted like a short climber....See Moreoursteelers 8B PNW
