Small yellow bugs on tomato plant - Need help identifying
Comments (7)Thanks for your replies and suggestions. I will take a sample and visit my local extension service office. That was really great advice. :) However, I wish those "3 tiny holes" were the extent of the damage This leaf is actually in very good shape. There are no aphids that I can see and I have not been able to find any other bugs on the plant. I will visit my local extension office where I can find some help and not criticism.. Perhaps I am wrong about these bugs causing the damage, but there is no doubt lots of damage to my tomato plant. I had holes inside some of my small fruit, even after this posting.. I opened one of the fruit and found nothing living inside....See MoreNeed help identifying bug eating my Passion Vine Leaves
Comments (5)Interestingly, my passion vines (P. edulis) don't have any caterpillars on them. However, my potato vines have so many on them, that most of the leaves are gone. To save the other vines growing nearby, I had to spray with some organic caterpillar/bug killer (got it from Home Depot). I hate caterpillars, and by extension, butterflies too. They almost defoliated my plum trees....See Morebugs on my pepper plants once they came indoors. Help!
Comments (7)Maybe a repeat from the linked threads as I haven't bothered to read them, but here I go... I had a couple of outdoors pepper plants I took indoors for overwintering, these were also full of aphids. I simply unearthed them, gave the root system a good trim, cut the stem down to a stick (or keep a couple of major nodes), rinsed it all under the faucet, submerged the whole thing in a glass full of diluted peroxide for 15 minutes and re-planted in smaller pots with new soil. These plants are doing good so far, no aphids, and have re-grown branches and leaves. I'd do this if you goal is merely to have the plants make it through winter for re-planting outdoors next summer. You'll save some space from using smaller pots and they should pick right up when the weather warms....See MoreNeed help identifying this plant. White webs in leaves
