You already have a lot of white in the room. Consider a pretty beige color or something completely different , such as a soft blue or green. Do you have artwork, or curtains from which to pick a color?

When I saw the kitchen, I had an immediate different thought than I see here. Is that formica? If so, I would replace it with new formica in a different color... This is not a major job, evidently. It comes with the backsplash and everything. You just order the length you need. Grey (as in one of the photos upthread)? Navy? Black? With the teal blue chairs, one or more of these colors on a countertop would be striking.

I didn't think of changing the backsplash so that was a helpful suggestion- I'm planning on painting or whitewashing the ceramic backsplash, its adding a lot of unnecessary pink to the kitchen, plus it does not go with the granite countertops. I'll start off with painting the walls first to see how that'll impact the room, then move on to the backsplash. I'm super tempted to paint over the cabinets but some of you have mentioned how that doesn't last well. I don't like glossy finish or the dark walnut, so I might just end up sanding and re-staining it a lighter color, but that'll be my last step. For those asking about the floor- it is Masseria Casali tile, and its only in the kitchen and washrooms. The rest of the house is half carpet half dark walnut glossy flooring (like the cabinets). Any color suggestions for the ceramic and wall in the kitchen? I need some color scheme inspirations, any helpful keywords on google/pinterest.
