Front Entrance Help
Comments (1)What a puzzle. Every inch of space is covered up by doors. I can see two possibilities: 1. Put a long narrow table, with a chair or stool on the left in the location of the gold closet labeled 4’6” long. A mirror can go above the table. 2. Keep all the closets and suspend a swing from the center of the ceiling. You could suspend the swing from LED rope lights so that it doubles as a chandelier. (Ha! Ha!)...See MoreLiving Room/Front Entry layout help!
Comments (14)Yes! I worked on it some yesterday and will take measurements when I get home and can update pictures. The built in wall is 13' long. Drawer units are standard depth, 24", and the narrower cabinets are 12" upper cabinets, however we bumped them out a little, so closer to 16" deep. To the left of the pax wardrobe wall (if facing) is the kitchen. To the right is the front of our house. The third pictures in original post has labels for all exits....See MoreUgliest Front Entry. Comments (7)I love the idea of painting the exterior wall the same as the window frames. Add larger lights in a contrasting finish that matches your door hardware. Keep the eye focused away from the areas you don't want people to look at. Add a larger rug too. If the planters are actually large enough to hide the area under the windows, they are large enough to be in the way when people enter your house. I am not a fan of obstructed entryways because I don't find them as welcoming....See MoreFront entry design help
Comments (5)I like the idea of removing the left side steps. But I would put a railing there. I would also add a railing along the steps. Don't plant tall plants. They will hide the windows. The current ones need to be prune to reduce their size. I would make it an interesting garden. Maybe add a water feature or sculpture....See MoreGodis 1
