Threeapples - Thanks for the history lesson. It is great to have so many artists/decorators jump in and know who they are on GW. Alex/Chisim - Agree with the OCD. Even though I enjoyed about half of the photos, some are way overboard for me too. It does take an "eye" to do this well. And as with all art/decor, not everyone is going to achieve or like the look. Ask for an "eye" from someone you know that has one for another take on a layout. They would love the help project. I have never measured for hanging a single or group of art. And can get real close on a measurement by just looking. This is just a part of my background in work and as an artist. Although some of my walls easily end up with a lot of nail holes to get there. My daughter and I have talked about looks gotten from someone helping me load items in the car and saying "no way". As the title says "Find and keep the things you love". Which can lead to the beyond as Joanie mentioned. But this is why we are individuals with unique comforts. The photos certainly lend creative options to play with. Joanie - Agree with dusting. I have no clue how someone keeps a mass of groupings clean. Especially the ones in a kitchen, even though I enjoyed seeing the expanse of colors/items used which worked for them. This reminds me though, dusting a collection or even the house can give you a reconnection with the adventure of finding a special object or it's history and use the time to enjoy again. Although we collect a lot of art, I tend to have it hung throughout our home, and only have a few spots where more than three pieces are hung together. This is one area in our living room. I've hung and propped Western paintings along with framed photos of DH's side of the family, as they are/were Westerners, including ranchers, cowboys, genteel schoolmarms and Native American. I think that adding the other Western and antique books and pieces on the bookcase there keeps that energy going. The other two areas aren't painting and prints, but part of my cross collection and a large grouping of family photos (which I FINALLY have reframed and rehung after 14 years of grousing about them) Lynn

Love it! Love the collection and the pole accent. The guy is probably taking the chicken home for dinner. Even roosters sometimes become capon. Great idea about getting similar frames at Goodwill. I'm eventually going to do a few walls like this (well maybe not quite as eclectic) but I will need to perhaps re-frame some art, so scouring Goodwill for frames is a great idea. But knowing me, there will be some funky, kitschy art inside the frame and then I will just be right back where I started, trying to figure out a way to incorporate THAT into my decor. On second thought, maybe better just get a plain frame at the local big box . , ,

@groveraxle I really, really like your placement of artwork with the four pieces!! Thank you very much for your input!! Would you say that the 2 smaller black and white pieces are 8x10 frames? I'm trying to figure out what size of frames and the 2 larger canvases are, so I can make this look happen! Also, do you happen to know where the floating shelf below the tv can be purchased? Or something similar? You made my morning with your help!!!
