Very pretty room so far. I recognize the bedding from PBteen. Have you checked their website for inspiration? I think either choice is fine, though with any panels, it looks like you would need to move the dresser you've placed between the two windows. One advantage of the chocolate drapes is that they would be more room darkening. Another option would be to go with the dotted sheers to echo the bedding. I checked the website and they have white with chocolate dots (even on sale!) which you could layer with a chocolate roller shade. I wonder if you could paint the shades you have now with fabric paint. You can echo the same WTs' over the closet area as well. I know you didn't ask about room layout, but if you do opt for panels, I'd suggest placing her bed between the two windows with the nightstand off to the side. As it looks like the desk and bookcases are part of a unit, I was wondering why you split them up? It would seem more functional to group them together on the long wall where the bed is now, though perhaps there is not enough clearance. I have 3 kids, two high school age and I find it very practical to have a nice study area with plenty of desk space and shelving nearby. Pretty room and I must say I am partial to the colors having only recently done both of my two DD's room in varying shades of aqua (one like you did it, the older one more of a turquoise). Cobalt blue is a gorgeous color but the walls +the gray headboard + the tan matchstick shades + multiple shades of blue doesnt equal a cohesive sum. Since the wall paint is fresh and pretty and since you like the grey headboard, consider sticking with fewer colors repeated in more elements and then add just one shade of blue as your proverbial pop? The photos that deco added are so pretty partly because they stick closely to plan.

Olivia- answering your question-I guess what you had originally is what I like. Navy curtains straight down. Skip the valance, would be great if you got rid of those wood blinds, but I understand if its a no go zone. Can I suggest room darkening curtains, they work well with blocking sunlight in the mornings. I did this in my room, just to avoid the whole blind thing and when I open the curtains the full window is exposed and lets in all the light. Agree with doods- longer rod, fuller curtains ( wider in size ). I have had 2 curtain panels stitched together to make a wider curtain before.. Not too high curtain rod setting either. Maybe a little puddling on floor to give it that romantic feel. Navy curtains I like, nice contrast against the lighter wall. Is that gold ( yellow ) in that artwork? ..so maybe add some gold accent in the room, either in throw blanket or throw pillow. Good luck!

Hi everyone - need suggestions on how to dress these windows in my bedroom. I need blackout window treatments otherwise I won't be able to sleep. From trim to trim is about 117 inches. My current thoughts are: 1) 4 sets of curtains. Do I have enough clearance in between the windows or will it look too bulky? 2) 2 wide curtains. Not alot of options for wide curtains. Is it too much if I do two 100" curtains? Worried it'll be too bulky. 3) If I ditch the curtains.. Any other way to get blackout but still have it look nice? Thank you.
