I did the same thing. (I think we have the same floor tile too). I added crown moulding to the tops of my cabinets which really dressed them up & you have plenty of room for. For paint I would choose something more in the beige family. I actually found a color that would blend nicely with my gray floors - it kind of tied the floor and cabinets together. New stainless appliances and hardware (which is yet to be installed) I also put in granite replacing bright blue laminate. In my mother's home which we are trying to sell we actually had someone come in and "coated" the orange laminate with another color. It looks brand new now; more like a Silestone. I was amazed and it only cost $500 for a huge kitchen and triple bowl sink. The sink was bright yellow and is now black. Anyway, I think you have lots of possibilities. Good luck!

that gray is very cool green would work too I'd say that's a question of your preference..and yes don't go too light, mid range or darker you can then bring all sorts of things to make it lighter/brighter if that's what you'd like art, bedding, you name it love the room, love the bed, and your plans

Thanks for your suggestions. So what do you think about a trim color? I would like to go with something other than the matching green for the roof.
