Since my builder's sub did the worst rock job in the world on one side of my fireplace I have the biggest piece of artwork in the house up there, flanked by my 2 ceramic owl vases with green punks and sticks in them. No photo. The fireplace is an embarrassment. Its removal is going on my 90 Day punchlist....which reminds me....we are almost there....

I agree with adding curtains to disguise the fact that the headboard overlaps the window a bit. Back tabs hang nicely. Hang them as close to the ceiling as possible so they come about 1/4 to 1/2" above the floor as shown in Denita's picture. Larger lamps should definitely be on your radar! I would also consider adding a throw or bed scarf to the bottom of the bed to bring some color to that end as well as upgrading your light fixture. You have a nice start to a lovely room.

Yes, you can do that. The bath bar style is fine but if you choose a vanity light, a two-light fixture is better with a 60" vanity. A four-light fixture is enough light if you want to use just one light above the mirror.

Hmmmm...not knowing the rest of your room it's hard to tell for scale and balance. Can you take a picture of the whole wall with the sofa table? One thing that hits me with the pic you posted is the two tables near each other, each with one thing hanging over it and each with one lamp. Have you tried to switch the sofa table and the desk? Or to move the sofa table behind the new sofa, and put the desk where the table was? Just a few wonderings... Anyway, please post more pics so we can get a feel for the whole space.
