Comments (23)The angle of that last photo definitely shows the true size of the room....thanks for posting it! I like the blinds since they give a lighter, brighter feel. But hey, that's just my opinion. : ) And.........I have to agree with Caminnc's comment about the cushions re: color vs pattern. You have a lot going on with remodeling, so waiting on the window treatment may be wise at this point. Hanging some simple panels on each side of the window, along with the blinds, would change the whole feel of the room, but I understand you wanting to stay with the current WT. I think the white is 'glaring' at you because of all the other dark colors in the area and it appears to be the only white anywhere except for the flower stand. Comments (11)what is the flooring going to be? with this wallpaper, I hope you're doing a gold or rose gold finish on the hardware/faucet and lighting. So, you can paper the upper half and do a wainscot below. use white or a dark blue this color and other items in this room would be the perfect match w/that paper with doing the top half and lower paint, you'd be shooting for this type of look I would do an actual wainscot and not just a chair rail. that paper deserves it. or the white or just do one entire wall...See MoreWould backsplash in two colors be too much w/wall paper?
Comments (13)That paper is so beautiful, I wouldn't use either the blue or green tile with it, but a piece of your countertop or white tile. I think the paper looks better with the light counter and light floor than with the colored tile. eta: after clicking on your link that shows the full pattern of the wallpaper, I'm totally convinced you shouldn't use colored tile as a backsplash....See More

5 years agoI personally love cream and white together. It's beautiful on its own or can act like a blank canvas, giving me freedom to change my mind with the hardware, textiles, wall accessories from season to season. I'm just finishing up a cream and white bathroom reno with light gray accents and chrome finishes, it's refreshing and calming at the same time.
If you have a piece of the wallpaper, head into the paint store to find the white that compliments your wallpaper....or bring some paint swatches home. Once narrowed down, buy a pint and paint a posterboard to move around from wall to wall at different times of the day.
Although you will have cream walls with white cabinets, these are a couple cream/white rooms I've always admired....

You can see the different tones on the left with the warmer temperature lights compared w/natural sunlight. look on far left and how yellow the Alabaster looks compared to the skylights natural daylight.

5 years agohere are a few pictures , tell me what you think , this is the wall paper close to under freezer, sample of white paint,and wallpaper w/ current cabinet in cream/off white, think ing i might paint interior of a cabinet door and see how it looks ??
