How many chandeliers over table?

By chance, do we have a fellow professional designer amongst us? I'm working on a project that requires me to toss the rule-book of scale right out the window. The dining room (style: French Country Farmhouse meets RH) has an odd dimension (20' by 10-12' depending on where you stand and it's not due to error-it's too long to explain or depict with images). Anyway, there is a 98" by 43" dining table in the middle

of it. Ceilings are barely 8 feet (95 inches). The calculations call for a 32" (and less than 25" high) diameter french chandelier. If in doubt, do I go a bit larger or a bit smaller with the lighting fixture? The table (will be stained a darker color) is not centered yet and the room will have white shiplap.
