Well we are getting measurable snow tomorrow, so seeing the flowers of spring starting to appear would be most welcome. Our Farmers Market was yesterday and I was talking to a farmer friend. He said the seeds he's ordered are starting to come in and that in only 5 weeks, sowing will begin!!! That gives me hope that Spring will come again. :)

In SoCal we get the blend of seasons, with Hamelia just beginning to get autumn color, while Manzanita 'Big Sur' is maxing out a show.

It’s been warm and wet here for the past month. Daffodil foliage is coming up. Now it’s getting cold and freezing. This is from last year.

We're under a winter weather advisory. Photo of dwarf Iris from March of last year.

Winter is our planting/growing time, because that is when we get rain. Summer is when everything dies, unless you want to pay a big water bill.

Still getting roses from Magenta, Joseph's Coat, DA Winchester Cathedral, and Duchesse de Brabant. Waiting to prune when they stop blooming.
