Tub/shower combo & 2 sinks or Separate Tub & Shower & 1 sink
Comments (7)Is there any way to run plumbing to the separate vanity area to make it into a sink? We are doing a gut remodel of our bathroom and we were able to cram in the shower, 5'6" claw foot tub, toilet and two sinks (on adjacent walls though, not next to each other) in a slightly less than 10'x11' space including sloped ceilings and a couple of windows. Here is an older version of our plan for the bathroom but shows the two sinks. The one next to the tub is a console sink (on chrome legs) so very open and the tub is now a double ended tub with plumbing in the middle. Here is a newer plan showing a tile layout I was messing with and the right tub. It also shows a bump out for a knee wall where the new drain is going to run - it turns out there was steel angle along that wall and we could not run the drain line under it so had to go through. It's more of a challenge to get the water there but wasn't impossible....See MoreBest way to build a 'Wet Room' with a stand alone tub
Comments (11)Good Morning. Yes Antss you are right about them not being clients as yet. I meet this family in Fontile when I was showing their sales staff the new 60" Channel Drain from Quick Drain USA. This family lives 10 minutes from my house and are doing a similar renovation on their home as I did on mine. The couple came by for a tour and to view the other 3 channel drains I have in stock. One other from Quick Drain USa and two from ACO. They love them. I like to build these bvathrooms in Excel first so I can give a proper budget and timeline for my clients. I only close 1 out of 4 jobs I quote as most are not prepare for the final ticket price. We are moving our focus into just this drain installation and waterproofing measures and will work on my home until these choice jobs come our way! Mongo the tub's waste line will be in at about 1 1/2" (grade speaking) from the drains low point. I was worried that this could be a problem. If I do like you say and make a tight connection and use Nobel Sealand or Kerdi Fix around this point do you feel it is far away and bullet proof enough?...See Morereplacing a clawfoot tub with a modern tub/shower
Comments (2)Thank you. You are right. Adding a shower and a wall in the center of the bathroom probably would not look good. Unfortunately, there isn't room for a seperate shower. I wish we had put more thought into how hard it would be to sell our house when the time came. This is our first house, and as newlyweds, we didn't need the downstairs bedroom and bathroom. We thought a clawfoot tub gave it personality....See Morewet room with free-standing tub
Comments (1)Well, the pictures didn't load.. And, disclosure, I don't have a wet room...but I think they're a great way to have a tub and shower in a space that otherwise wouldn't allow for them (if you don't want the shower in the tub). From what I understand, it will feel cold...both because of the size of the space, and also because you will only have a panel....so I would do lots of research on the best heating for that kind of room.....See MoreSina Sadeddin Architectural Design
